Aegis Protective S.O.R.A Training

 1.     A person seeking to be employed as, or perform the functions and activities of , a security officer must complete an approved 24-hour mandated course, taken over 3 days, of classroom instruction taught by a certified security officer instructor.

2.     The course of instruction shall include

A.    Homeland security and counter terrorism

B.     Communications/emergency response

C.     Theft prevention

D.    Limits on the use of force

E.     Detention of suspects

F.     Ethics and professional conduct

G.    First Aid/CPR/AED

H.    Customer Services

I.       The roles of a Security Officer

3.     The certified security officer instructor Shall Not instruct any potential security officer unless he or she.

a.     Is at least 18 years of age

b.     Produces a valid photo identification with a valid expiration date An expired New Jersey photo drivers license in combination with a current non-photo license

c.      A valid “temporary certificate of registration as a security officer.”
